THE GREAT OUTDOORS

Staying at The Heath means you are within easy reach of everything the Highlands has to offer. It is the perfect base to explore both near and far, and still be home by nightfall. The popular ski-resorts of Aviemore (Cairngorms) and Anoch Mhor (Nevis Range) are both within a 45 minute drive of The Heath. Infact, The Heath is situated half way between these two fantastic ski centres.........so why not try alternate days and experience both.
Take a day trip to the Isle of Skye and picnic at the foot of the famous Cuillin Hills; enjoy a boat trip along the Caledonian Canal and across Loch Ness; spend a day on the slopes; enjoy a canoe trip around Loch Morlich; go dolphin watching on the Moray Firth; take a tour of the many Castles we have to offer; or spend some time in the City itself, where you can enjoy the variety of shops, restaurants and bars on offer.
If you'd rather have a more relaxed day, then visit the leisure centre, or pop into one of the 3 golf courses available. Alternatively, just relax and chill out at The Heath!

Errogie is a small remote village where you will enjoy plenty of peace and quiet. There are however amenities close at hand should you need them.
The Foyers Hotel is 4 miles away, as is Foyers Shop and Post Office. The Whitebridge Hotel is 6 miles away, serving bar meals, and depending on the season, shooting and fishing parties can be arranged here. Dores Inn is a fantastic little country pub/restaurant that has built up quite a reputation for itself. It can be found 8 miles away, right on the edge of Loch Ness.
The whole area is rich in forest walks and there are plenty hills to test your climbing on! Or hire some bikes and explore the surrounding area and its stunning scenery.
